The Dallas Cowboys have all their focus aimed at acquiring the perfect selections in the upcoming NFL Draft.
An offseason of limited movements has come as a shock to the system for many sporting profiles and fans.
Jerry Jones admitted during an interview at the Senior Bowl that the Cowboys will go ‘all in’
Now, they are being forced to win with less.
Cowboys still have alarming issues in the run game
Additionally, the 81-year-old confirmed that the running game was the key issue to address.
Therefore, many assumed the Cowboys would target a running back in free agency.
However, silence occurred on all running back fronts.

2023 starting running back Tony Pollard joined the Tennessee Titans during free agency, leaving a premium hole to fill.
The Cowboys may have their attention fully focused on drafting a rookie who can have a high volume of snaps in his first season.
Nonetheless, do not be surprised if they pair the rookie with an experienced veteran.
America’s Team will need a player who can be used in the shortage yardage and goal-to-go situations.
Cowboys monitoring Eliott and Cook’s situations
Dallas reporter, Michael Gehlken, reported that Ezekiel Elliott was a player to keep an eye on as a free agent.
In addition to the former player, Dalvin Cook was also being monitored closely.
Cook was one to watch for Cowboys fans as he matches the profile of the bulldozing rusher they need.
After a post-workout routine, Cook was asked about staying physically ready during free agency, and he replied: “You always got to be prepared for the opportunity. I’m a veteran in the league. I know what it takes to be successful in this league, I know who Dalvin Cook is. I know how I want to perform and what I want to do.”
When asked what he wants the NFL to know about what he has left in the tank, he boastfully responded: “I got it all man. I didn’t really get my reps last year; my legs are fresh. [My] Resume speaks for itself. I’m still Dalvin Cook. I’m still that guy.”
Dalvin Cook says he is ‘still that guy’
The four-time Pro Bowler is confident that he still has the hard yards in his locker and much more to give.
Cook was disappointed he did not get as many reps last year but says that has made him fresher.
Could the NFL rusher have a place on the Cowboys roster come 2024?
If he did, he would be playing behind a rookie as the Cowboys seem set on that as a draft pick.
