The Dallas Cowboys will be fully locked in on their 2024 campaign but this has not stopped some from taking a deep shot at how the first round will fall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Historically, the Dallas Cowboys have been an excellent front office when it comes to drafting and developing talent into Pro Bowlers.
In April, the front office traded back with the Detroit Lions to #29 and picked up the phone to take left tackle Tyler Guyton out of Oklahoma.
The Dallas Cowboys choose several starters in the 2024 NFL Draft
Guyton will replace the veteran Tyron Smith who left during free agency, which has been a reason for several draft picks.
Moreover, defensive edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland will be expected to serve as adequate competition on the D-Line.

Starter Dorance Armstrong left Dallas after becoming a free agent and joined Dan Quinn at the Washington Commanders.
The third-round pick, via the Detroit Lions, Cooper Beebe could slot in a center and replace Tyler Biadasz who also left for Washington.
Linebacker Marist Liufau is hopeful of learning from veteran free-agent acquisition Eric Kendricks.
Caelen Carson, Ryan Flournoy, Nathan Thomas, and Justin Rodgers made up their remaining selections in 2024.
Franchises will have compiled their scouting reports for next year’s potential rookies
However, the scouting for the next NFL Draft will have taken place long before the previous Draft had started.
Boards for the 2025 NFL Draft will already start to be drawn up and college stars will be preparing for their final season before the professional world.
Dallas Cowboys predicted to choose a QB as Prescott leaves America’s Team
In the first Pro Football Network 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys have been simulated to choose Miami QB Cameron Ward.
The Draft order was based on the current Super Bowl odds for each franchise entering the 2024 season.
Moreover, the simulator predicted America’s Team take Ward after parting ways with Dak Prescott.
“Displeased after another pedestrian campaign with Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys reach for a Texas native behind center, Cameron Ward.
“Ward is a polarizing prospect who some may consider unworthy of first-round capital. Yet, there’s no denying that his combination of enticing extension ability and pinpoint accuracy on tight-window throws due to impressive velocity generation could prove alluring for an NFL franchise.”
Ward is set for his debut in Miami after leaving Washington in 2024
After two seasons with the Washington State Cougars, Ward is preparing for his first season at the Miami Hurricanes.
In Washington, he started and played in 25 games, throwing for a combined 6,966 yards and 48 touchdowns including 16 interceptions.
Furthermore, Ward is a Texas native after being born in Lake Jackson.
Ultimately, with no extension in sight for Dak Prescott, the Cowboys could be looking at rebuilding with a new quarterback.
Therefore, the franchise may look towards the draft to source their new player under center.
