NFL teams like to use the off-season to strengthen. However, part of the struggle is attempting just to stand still, with players looking to leave too.
Even Super Bowl winners can not keep hold of all their players, with individuals across the league wishing to explore the market when they can and secure the best possible deal for themselves.
The Dallas Cowboys are not immune to this either, and have a battle to keep the team together, before being able to add to it.
In some cases, the price may just be too high, and Dallas will have to step aside and try and find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Dorance Armstrong could leave
According to ESPN, Dorance Armstrong is ‘likely’ to leave the Dallas Cowboys this off-season.
There is a big market for Armstrong across the league, with the defensive end in demand.
One of his suitors is tipped to be the Washington Commanders, where former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn took over as head coach this off-season.
It would make a lot of sense for Quinn to go after Armstrong, who he knows he can get production from.
Armstrong has options as he enters free agency shortly, and with other key players Dallas need to pay including quarterback Dak Prescott, it is unlikely the Cowboys will be able to match the offers he gets.
Dorance Armstrong numbers
Dorance Armstrong contributed 7.5 sacks to the Dallas defense in the 2023 regular season.
He also posted 20 solo tackles, and six run stuffs. He was a very useful player to have around and would be a miss for Dallas.
Armstrong was a fourth round pick for the Cowboys in 2016.
Of the 23.5 sacks he has posted during his career so far, 16 have come in the past two seasons, with a career best 8.5 in 2022.
