According to one player, the Kansas City Chiefs sit at the head of the NFL table but that does not make them immune from criticism.
Tyreek Hill departed the Chiefs in 2022 after the franchise agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins.
After entering the final year of his deal, the wide receiver was desperate to become the highest-paid in his position.
Brett Veach and the front office toyed with granting Hill’s wish but could not see it through.
Moreover, Kansas City made the executive decision to let Hill walk in a trade that would be beneficial for both parties.
Chiefs receive numerous draft picks whilst Hill is made the highest-paid receiver
The Chiefs received five luxury picks, with two being first and second-rounders in 2022.
On the other hand, Hill’s fantasy became reality as the Dolphins made him the highest-paid wide receiver in the league.

The 30-year-old signed a $120 million worth four-year deal with the Florida-based franchise.
Hill has spoken about his time on the Chiefs and the blockbuster departure.
Furthermore, the five-time First-Team All-Pro has stated that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s image forced him to leave.
Hill wanted to be a brand after football and could not sit in their shadow if he was to be the face of the franchise.
Tyreek Hill felt disrespected by the Chiefs after his departure
In a recent interview with Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, Hill claimed he felt disrespected by the Chiefs.
After being complimentary about starting running back Isiah Pacheco, the Dolphin says it hurt when they handed his number 10 over.
On the podcast, Hill stated: “I did feel disrespected when they gave him [Pacheco] 10 though. I ain’t like that. There’s one 10. There should only be one 10 in your heart.”
New running back Pacheco was given Hill’s old number
The Chiefs had no hesitation when giving the number 10 jersey to 2022 seventh-round pick Pacheco.
Hill became the number 10 on the Miami Dolphins and has personally excelled despite having minimal team success.
Furthermore, Hill led the league in receiving yards (1,799) and touchdowns (13) in 2023, earning more All-Pro and Pro Bowl accreditations.
