Jerry Jones has recently made multiple claims regarding the Dallas Cowboys offseason situations which has caused some controversy.

The 81-year-old owner has stated on record that Dak Prescott is one of a few quarterbacks who can win a Super Bowl but has not.

Which has made many people question why he has not received an extension.

No deal coming for Prescott

Moreover, Prescott is the best option for the Cowboys after finishing second in the MVP race.

There has been no indication that the Cowboys are offering their QB a new deal.

The situation remains ‘mutual’, according to Ian Rapoport.

Additionally, the lack of movement in the free agency market is an alarming cause for concern.

Eric Kendricks remains the only offseason addition who was not only on the 2023 roster.

The Cowboys lack a starter in the premium running back position and have passed on multiple targets.

Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook are the latest names associated with the rushing role in Dallas.

All in all, America’s Team is in a precarious position which could have a strong influence on the 2024 season.

However, Jerry Jones seems unfazed when down in Florida for the NFL annual meeting.

Jerry Jones feels ‘good’ about the offseason

Cowboys writer Clarence Hill Jr. posted on X saying Jerry Jones said: “I feel as good any time going into the offseason as I can remember.”

Jones seems content with the offseason proceedings so far.

Going as far as saying, he feels just as good in any offseason during his 35 years of ownership.

This a strong statement and one former Cowboys wide receiver has hit back.

Dez Bryant took to X and responded: “That’s a damn lie.”

The former Cowboy refuses to believe this is the truth.

Cowboys fans becoming alienated

Although Jones may be satisfied with how the offseason has been planned out so far, the fans and former players feel disillusioned.

There is a growing resentment for one of the oldest owners in the NFL.

America’s Team being one of the biggest and underachieving franchises are always going to be under the microscope.

Their actions will be dissected and they will dominate the headlines all season.

But Jerry Jones does add fuel to the fire, Cowboy Nation can only pray this will all turn out smoothly.
