On Monday, the highest earners of the NFL performance-based bonus scheme were made public.

The program rewards players based on their playing time and salary levels.

The top 25 earners from the reward system numbers were released on social media by Tom Pelissero.

According to the NFL journalist, the NFL bonus system has paid out close to $2.4 billion since its introduction in 2002.

Now fans can see what players have benefited the most.

Cowboys star set to receiver big bonus

Moreover, the Dallas Cowboys have had one player who is in line to receive a handsome paycheque from the NFL system.

Cornerback DaRon Bland was ranked 20th on the highest earners list and is ready for a nice bonus.

According to the data produced, Bland will receive $759,756 from the league in bonus revenue.

In his sophomore season, he played 90% of the defensive snaps and registered some outstanding figures.

In 17 games – 15 starts – he led the league in interceptions, hauling in nine.

Of those nine picks, Bland returned five for touchdowns – setting a new NFL season record.

The 24-year-old was called up to the Pro Bowl and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Cowboys lose valuable playmaker

Bland stepped up in a desperate situation for the Dallas Cowboys, as starter Trevon Diggs was ruled for the rest of the season after just two games.

The newly extended Diggs tore his ACL in practice when conducting 1 on 1 drills.

According to Pro Football Reference, Bland’s workload nearly doubled in his second year, after appearing in just 52% of the defensive snaps as a rookie.

His hard work and impressive performances have been rewarded by a large NFL performance-based bonus.

Bland will be entering his third year as a Cowboy and there will be big expectations as he has raised the bar.

With Diggs hopefully back in the secondary and Jourdan Lewis resigning during the offseason, this Dallas secondary will be paramount to a Super Bowl charge.
