The Dallas Cowboys have endured a tough offseason so far, but reports suggested it could become even more hostile.

America’s Team and Jerry Jones have been held to the sword about their free agency signings – lack of.

Moreover, the Cowboys are already dealing with the financial headache of Dak Prescott eating up $55 million on the cap next season.

Prescott, Parsons, and Lamb with contract situations

Jerry Jones has implied that he could be open to the idea of his quarterback playing out his deal.

In addition, Micah Parsons will be expecting a contract extension and is looking to be paid big.

One reporter has suggested the linebacker could become the highest-paid defensive player of all time.

Further strain on the already limited budget for Jones.

Top-class wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will also be looking to become one of the highest-paid in his position.

Lamb enters the final year of his rookie deal on the fifth-year extension.

Therefore, it is almost certain the 25-year-old will be offered a new multi-year extension.

Lambs rumored to hold out of training for contract extension

However, reports emerged yesterday that Lamb could hold out of non-mandatory training.

Franchises’ OTA’s (Organized Training Activities) begin very soon with the Cowboys being no different.

Lamb was rumored to consider not attending these sessions as leverage to earn a blockbuster deal.

This would be further drama that the Cowboys would be desperate to avoid as Lamb holds the cards in this situation.

Lamb addressed the contract allegations

Lamb broke the silence about the reported allegations of training refusal to earn a massive contract deal.

A video clip surfaced of Lamb being asked if he was to be a Cowboy and the wide receiver had no hesitation, saying: “Yh I’ll be in Dallas.”

There is very little to worry about as Lamb will know that the Cowboys will be presenting him with a new deal.

The Cowboy was arguably the best receiver in 2023, securing 1,749 yards with 12 touchdowns on 135 receptions.

Ultimately, Lamb can just kick up his feet and relax knowing a huge deal is on the way.
