Dallas Cowboys star branded ‘most sensitive guy I’ve ever seen’ by ESPN guest

Micah Parsons’ leadership was at the forefront of conversation during an episode of “Get Up” on ESPN.

Bart Scott pulled no punches on the show, with the former Ravens and Jets linebacker saying Parsons should take more responsibility for their playoff debacle.

After the Dallas Cowboys defense allowed 41 points to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round Parsons admitted that he was afraid to show his face in public.

What Bart Scott said about Micah Parsons

Bart Scott played alongside some big-name defensive players like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.

He says Parsons needs to bring more energy and leadership on the field if the Cowboys want to make a playoff run.

“He’s lacking leadership,” Scott said about Parsons. “He doesn’t understand what winning in this league is all about. Is he a great player? Yes, but just because you’re a great player doesn’t mean you’re a great leader.”

“He needs to go to a leadership school and learn how to lead by example, quit talking so much and being so damn sensitive.”

Scott’s advice to Parsons

While Scott was highly critical of Parsons, he also had some advice for the two-time First-team All-Pro.

“You’re a linebacker – that’s supposed to be a tough-guy spot,” Scott said.

“He’s the most sensitive guy I’ve ever seen. He responds to everything. Get off social media, quit tweeting, quit talking about responding, and go about your business.”

“That’s how you change the culture.”

Parsons led the Cowboys in the regular season with 14 sacks, 18 tackles for a loss, and 33 quarterback hits in 17 games.

In their playoff defeat to the Cheeseheads, though, Parsons only registered two tackles and had one QB hit on Jordan Love.

Parsons’ ongoing feuds

In his three NFL seasons, Micah Parsons has ruffled a lot of feathers in the media, causing many ongoing feuds.

Monday’s comments by Scott are a continuation of the feud between both individuals.

Ahead of the 2023 season, following the season-ending injury to Trevon Diggs, Scott put gasoline on the fire.

“This is a major, major blow for Dallas and like Stephen A. (Smith) always says, just wait. Something bad always happens,” Scott said on First Take,” Scott said following Diggs’ injury.

Parsons didn’t take kindly to the words, calling Scott’s comments, among other things, “lame”.

Scott isn’t the only pundit who’s had a war of words with Parsons, though.

Skip Bayless and Parsons have been jawing at one another many times.

Bayless put Parsons in the firing line on X following their playoff exit.

As we’ve seen him do plenty of times, Parsons had a rebuttal to Bayless on his podcast “The Edge.”

“You got guys like Skip (Bayless) that just talk so crazy out on the media just because they can. Skip, I have never once asked you to hype me up or do anything like that. You did that because you saw what I was doing on the field. I’ve never wanted you to jump on my coattails. You are the one that wanted me on your show.”
