The Dallas Cowboys have rumored interest in one of their biggest rivals’ star players, could this be just the statement of intent they need?

Jerry Jones has claimed that the Cowboys will be going ‘all in’ during the offseason.

Now, he could back up the talk with a trade that will send seismic waves through the NFC East division.

There is no denying the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles share bad blood for one another.

The two franchises have been locking horns in the division and have been battling out for the NFC East title together.

The Cowboys secured 12 wins last year which was enough to win the division.

The Eagles fell off dramatically after only logging 11 wins compared to their 14 the previous season.

Haason Reddick trade speculation

Haason Reddick is one of the big stars in the offseason who has been made available to seek a trade.

Although, the 29-year-old has said he did not request a trade, despite, being ‘granted’ one.

Reddick is about to enter the final year of his Eagles contract and will join free agency in 2025 if no new deal is reached.

In 2022, Reddick signed a three-year deal with his hometown team and he flourished.

The 2017 first-round draft pick registered 16.0 sacks in his first season as an Eagle and added 11 more in 2023.

Reddick has registered double-digit sacks for four consecutive seasons, making him an in-demand player.

‘Unbelievable player’

Eagles GM, Howie Roseman, described Haason Reddick as an ‘unbelievable player’ and has ‘tremendous respect’ for the local boy.

Could the Cowboys be interested?

Yes, according to Cowboys reporter Mike Fisher.

The reporter with over 40 years of experience, has confirmed the interest from the Dallas franchise.

Reddick, whilst lining up alongside Micah Parsons, would be a recipe for success.

The two-star players combined for a total of 25 sacks in the 2023 regular season, on their respective teams. Add them together, and you have a real force.

Parsons was the most double-teamed defensive player in the NFL last year, so by adding Reddick, they would be relieving the former of some pressure.

Moreover, Jones has claimed that the Dallas Cowboys are prepared to go ‘all in’ for a shot at Super Bowl success.

Executing a trade with the Eagles would be a statement of intent, but they would be forced to sacrifice valuable draft picks in the process.

Besides, it would be very unwise for the Super Bowl LVII runners-up to entertain a trade with a division rival.

The Eagles will be desperate to knock America’s Team off their perch in 2024 and strengthening a rival would be the wrong way to go about doing that.

Nevertheless, stranger things have happened in the NFL.

So, who is to say Reddick to the Cowboys will not happen?
