The Cowboys have a positive update on the status of Micah Parsons ahead of their Week 5 clash against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Dallas Cowboys have a pivotal game at the weekend as they go head-to-head in a rematch of last year’s divisional playoff round game. The 49ers are riding a 14-game regular season win streak and already look Super Bowl bound. The Cowboys need to prove they’re capable of going up against the best and coming away with a win, but it’s clear they’ll need all hands on deck.
Micah Parsons suffered knee injury in Week
All-Pro defender Micah Parsons got pretty banged up in the Week 4 win against the Pats.
He appeared to clip his leg on another player before hobbling off to the side-lines for a few plays. Parsons spent some time in the medical tent before riding a training bike and returning to the game.
He was clearly feeling something in his leg though and didn’t look right as he hobbled off the field.

Cowboys get positive injury update on star defender ahead of 49ers matchup
The good news is that Parsons will be suiting up on Sunday. The bad news is that he’s probably not 100% fit.
Parsons was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, with Mike McCarthy granting the veteran and extra day of rest.
Thankfully, NFL insider Ian Rapoport said there should be no issues for Sunday.
“Micah Parsons… already ballin’, four sacks, eight hurries, now he comes up with a bit of knee injury, he came out for five plays to get examined… This is not believed to be a major injury, no structural damage, just the kind of thing he has to get treatment on to get him close to 100% on Sunday,” Rapoport said on Good Morning Football.
“… I expect his participation to ramp up and no issues for Sunday.”

Parsons – “I feel really great and high spirited right now”
Parsons himself spoke to reports on Wednesday where he confirmed he was in good spirits.
Per Jon Machota, he said: “It was definitely a banged up game, but honestly, after getting my treatments and doing the extra work I need to do to get prepared for this game, I feel really great and high spirited right now.”
Parsons was named the NFC’s defensive player of the month in September. Through four games he ranks first in several pass rushing metrics including pressures (29), pressure rate (27.4%) and positive pass rush rate (75.2%).
The Cowboys will need all of that against the 49ers’ offense on Sunday.
