Chiefs lineman gives brilliant reaction to Xavier Worthy pick

Kansas City executed a trade with their AFC rivals of late the Buffalo Bills to steal Xavier Worthy off the board.

Brett Veach decided to call up the Bills and sanction a trade due to the fear Worthy could be stolen.

The opening day of the NFL Draft saw the spotlight shine on the offensive rookies.

Of the 32 picks yesterday, 23 of them were offensive and the first defensive talent was not selected until the 14th pick.

Chiefs trade up for Worthy with the Ravens having an interest in the rookie

The picture was clear, the Chiefs felt under pressure from the Baltimore Ravens who were sitting on the 30th overall pick.

Moreover, Worthy would have been the perfect scheme receiver for Matt Nagy’s offense and the franchise could not afford to wait.

Worthy joins Marquise Brown, Travis Kelce, and Rashee Rice in the 2024 starting offense.

However, the situation with the sophomore approaching Rice remains unclear and he is set to be issued a multi-game ban after the off-field legal issues settle.

The man who ran a record-breaking 4.21 will provide another deep-threat weapon for Patrick Mahomes.

Andy Reid could be hoping that the 20-year-old will be their next coming of Tyreek Hill.

Chiefs lineman reacts to Worthy joining the roster

One of the Chiefs’ offensive linemen took to X in the wake of Worthy joining the Chiefs.

On X, Creed Humphrey posted: “Me trying to keep up on WR screens this year #ChiefsKingdom.”

Humphrey followed his remark with a gif that showed a man running and falling over dramatically.

One NFL expert predicts Creed Humphrey to reset the market this offseason with a bumper contract.

Frank Ragnow of the Detroit Lions is the most expensive center in the league but will fall short of Humphrey’s new deal.

If Matt Nagy designs screenplays with Xavier Worthy as the receiver, he may leave most of the O-Line chasing shadows.

Therefore, Humphrey may earn every last cent of his record-breaking deal having to stay in front of Worthy.

Veach is adamant that Worthy must develop in one department

GM Veach has stated that Worthy must pack of the size and reach the ideal wide receiver weight of 175-180lbs.

Worthy making weight will make him a harder target to defend and Humphrey will struggle to go toe-to-toe on raw speed.
