The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to plug crucial gaps on their roster and they could try to land the most sort after O-lineman in the draft.

As the draft approaches, the Chiefs have been narrowed down to using their first-round pick on one of two positions.

Patrick Mahomes now has Marquise Hollywood Brown as a new weapon to search for downfield.

They could have a unique wide receiver in the form of Louis Rees-Zammit.

Rashee Rice was tipped to be the new WR1 for the Chiefs but his off-field legal issues remain a stumbling block.

Wanya Morris is set to protect Mahomes at left tackle but faces competition

However, Mahomes’ blindside is dangerously vulnerable at the moment and needs addressing.

Wanya Morris is the left tackle on the roster who will have a first chance at being the starter in 2024.

This step up will add further pressure to his sophomore season as he has big shoes to fill.

Donovan Smith has hit free agency after signing a one-year deal in 2023 and remains there.

All eyes have turned to Morris but the Chiefs will be bringing in talented competition to rival the 23-year-old.

Therefore, it is looking more likely that the Chiefs will be selecting a rookie who can compete to be the starting left tackle.

Chiefs are just one of 11 teams to be visited by Giovanni Manu

One of their potential prospects has attended their top-30 visit and is on numerous teams’ radar.

On the 16th of April, super-talented offensive lineman Giovanni Manu visited Kansas City.

Per NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, Manu has visited 10 teams in 10 days before the visiting window closes for good.

Overall, the tackle out of British Columbia has visited 11 teams and wrapped up his top-30s with the Denver Broncos.

The giant tackle stands at a monstrous 6-foot-8 and weighs in at 352 pounds – no wonder he is popular.

Furthermore, the potential left tackle for the Chiefs is a predicted day-three pick.

Chiefs analyze Manu for the second time after attending his Pro Day

The Chiefs attended the UBC Pro Day, so this is the second chance they have been able to analyze the prospect further.

Manu has a deep-rooted Tongo heritage, which is evident from his colossus size.

He does possess surprising athleticism that one would not associate with his measurements, he ran a blistering 4.96 on his Pro Day.
