Patrick Mahomes and company are gearing up for a blockbuster season but one of their bitter rivals has made a bold statement.

The Kansas City Chiefs are hunting down the illustrious never-to-been-done-before ‘three-peat’.

However, with this achievement in mind, they have made themselves the team to beat for 2024.

Franchises across America will be looking to knock the Chiefs off their pedestal and claim a ring.

Currently, the San Francisco 49ers are the bookies’ favorites to win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Bengals have been the Chiefs’ bogey team the last few seasons

Nonetheless, records are there to be broken and the Chiefs will be oozing with confidence.

One of the Chiefs’ biggest rivals over the previous seasons has been the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since being led by quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals have a 3-1 winning record against the Chiefs.

One year later, the Chiefs avenged their defeat in the following AFC Championship matchup.

The victory meant the Chiefs were now 3-1 vs Joe Burrow.

Joe Burrow says the Bengals are ‘built’ to beat the Chiefs

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, alongside his brother Jason, hosted their New Heights show back home in Cincinnati.

They invited star quarterback Joe Burrow as their guest interviewee.

When asked why the Bengals games against the Chiefs are so good, Burrow replied: “Both teams have great players. We are kind of built to beat them.”

His remarks were met with a voice of approval from the lively crowd at the University of Cincinnati.

Moreover, the Bengals QB acknowledged the talent on the Chiefs roster which is what raises the games.

Chiefs and Bengals set to meet at ‘Burrowhead’ in 2024

The Bengals and Chiefs are set to face each other at Arrowhead Stadium for the 2024 season.

Ironically, Bengals fans call it ‘Burrowhead’ due to his record there, but the Chiefs currently hold a one-game winning streak.

Depending on the success of their seasons, the two franchises could meet in the playoffs after the regular season.

Joe Burrow has been dealt with severe injury blows in previous seasons, so must stay healthy to pose a big threat to the Chiefs.

Controversial TV personality, Skip Bayless, has stated he thinks Burrow is more talented than Patrick Mahomes.
