One of the most significant dates in the NFL is almost upon us and the Kansas City Chiefs are locked in.
After the surge and thrill of free agency, the next stage of roster building is the NFL Draft.
Brett Veach will refine his key selections after attending various Pro Days and having a closer analysis of their top 30 visits.
Chiefs draw up priority selections for left tackle and wide receiver
There seems to be a unanimous agreement across all mock drafts and reports that the Chiefs will address two positions.
Left tackle and wide receiver are the Chiefs’ top priority when they are on the clock next week Thursday.

At the moment, as they won Super Bowl LVIII, they are set to have the final pick of the opening round.
However, when Veach spoke to the press he did not rule out the possibility of being super aggressive and trading up into the top 15.
Veach does not rule out a trade-up but must get the go-ahead
Chiefs reporter Peter Sweeney explained Veach’s response when asked about the idea.
Sweeney posted: “Brett Veach smiles when asked about the #Chiefs trading up to the top 15.
“He nudged that that type of big move would require Andy Reid and Clark Hunt being on board.”
The Chiefs general manager did not categorically rule out a move upwards but explained he would need significant backing from the front office.
Furthermore, Sweeney reported that Veach has 16-18 guys on the board that they believe to be first-round quality.
Chiefs first-round graded players could be off the board by pick #32
It does not take a genius to work out that they could and probably should all be selected by the Chiefs’ first selection.
Therefore, that could entice the Chiefs to trade up if they are desperate for a specific player.
Veach has earned the right to make a call of that magnitude and fans will trust the process.
Nonetheless, the 46-year-old must pitch the call to Andy Reid and Clark Hunt to receive the green light!
