Colin Cowherd flip-flopping on the Cowboys proves Micah Parsons was right on the money

Colin Cowherd is going viral for his egregious flip-flopping on the Cowboys. Colin rated the Los Angeles Rams pretty highly recently, that is, until the Cowboys came to town…

Micah Parsons recently sounded off on the NFL’s media for their unfair treatment of the Cowboys and the double standard by which they are judged at.

Micah Parsons recently called out the NFL’s media

The All-Pro linebacker called out the rank hypocrisy of Dallas’ critics, comparing the narrative around the Cowboys losing to the 49ers with the way the Niners and Eagles were spoken about when they lost to much less fancied teams the following week.

“I just don’t condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, and have the same energy for the Eagles,” Parsons said on his “The Edge” podcast. “We want the same energy for everybody. Because there’s a whole bunch of bashing when it’s Dak Prescott, but not the same when it’s the Eagles.”

He went on: “Why is it that we are just scrubs and we’re nobodies that don’t deserve to be on the field, and we’re just all talk, but there’s 100 excuses for these other teams. If y’all just going to hate Cowboys Nation, just say y’all hate Cowboys Nation. But don’t sit here and throw shade on us. Keep the same energy for everybody.”

Colin Cowherd flip-flopping on the Cowboys proves Micah Parsons was right

It’s no secret that most of the media have an agenda against the Cowboys. America’s Team generate interest like virtually no other team in the NFL which many outlets exploit in order to get views and clicks.

And now, in a remarkable clip that’s going viral, The Herd host Colin Cowherd can be heard confirming Parsons’ theory to be right on the money.

In the first part of the footage, which was filmed before the Cowboys’ win against the Rams, Cowherd has the Rams as the 10th best team in the NFL. He praises quarterback Matthew Stafford and calls Rams WR Puka Nacua ‘unguardable’ and the rookie of the year.

“The Rams have the coach and the quarterback,” he goes on. “Aaron Donald remains dominant…Cooper Kupp comes back… I have them at 10 [in his list of best NFL teams]”.

The Cowboys subsequently demolished the Rams 43-20 thanks to 304 passing yards and 4 TDs from Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb’s 158 yards and two scores.

However, lo and behold, as soon as the Cowboys beat them, the Rams are suddenly trash in Cowherd’s estimations.

In an egregious example of flip-flopping, Colin says, “The Cowboys have become the ultimate tease.

“Hammer the Rams, Philadelphia’s next. They’re the world’s best rollercoaster.

“And we said, the Rams are all smoke and mirrors and coaching. They’re probably considering moving one or two of their veteran pieces. Aaron Donald? Doubt it, but it could happen.

“Cooper Kupp they got him outta there, Matthew Stafford’s beat up… they need more good players and more draft picks.”

The clip was shared around social media with the caption: ‘Visual proof of how the media uses the Cowboys for views’:

He also likened Dallas to SNL

‘Thank you. Y’all can b**** about Cowboys fans all you want but this is literally what we are constantly saying and trying to point out. It’s blatantly obvious and stale,’ one person responded in the comments.

To be fair to Colin he did end the segment with a rather amusing – albeit wrong – metaphor about the Cowboys being like Saturday Night Live.

Cowherd likened America’s Team to SNL because for one or two weekends a month, they’re supposedly great, but the other two weekends they’re awful.

“You’re almost sure it’ll never be as good as it once was,” he ends with.

Unfortunately for Colin both SNL and the Cowboys have both been pretty good of late. Long may it continue.
