Which Cowboy players could be in line for a first Pro Bowl Selection

We could see our share of Cowboy players at the 2024 Pro Bowl in a season of record-breaking performances and personal bests for many.

Fan voting began earlier this week as 44 NFC players will get to represent that conference on February 4 in Orlando.

The usual suspects for the Dallas Cowboys, like CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons are all definitely among those in the running but we could see plenty of new faces on America’s Team there as well.

In 2022, eight Cowboys selected to the Pro Bowl, and this year, including those three mentioned above.

Here is a list of some others that haven’t been to the showcase event but could make it this season.

Tyler Smith

They plucked him at #24 in the 2022 draft, and Tyler Smith is putting together a sparkling sophomore season.

Smith grew up about half an hour from Dallas in Fort Worth, and the lineman is quickly learning to be an effective pass blocker.

In over 600 offensive snaps, he’s allowed just one sack, according to PFF, while reducing the number of holding and false start penalties from a year ago.

Brandon Aubrey

The fairy tale story of this former soccer player is something you think only exists in fictional Disney movies.

To this point of the 2023 season, though, Brandon Aubrey is proving that he’s the real deal, making all 22 of his field goal attempts.

He is the only player in the NFC with more than one attempt to make all his kicks.

Not only has Aubrey been named Special Team Player of the Month already, but he’s made more field goals consecutively than anyone at the beginning of an NFL career.

DaRon Bland

The loss of Trevon Diggs through injury has been a blessing in disguise for the Cowboys.

Having that kind of high-priced talent on the bench is difficult if you’re Jerry Jones, but it’s much easier when you look at the type of season DaRon Bland is putting together.

Breaking the NFL’s single-season pick-six record wasn’t enough, as he now leads the league in interceptions (seven) while defending 13 passes.

Bland isn’t only in line to attend his first Pro Bowl; but if he can maintain his current form, he deserves to be an All-Pro.

Osa Odighizuwa

A First-team All-Pac 12 at UCLA, Odighizuwa may have an outside chance at a Pro Bowl nod.

There will be stiff competition, considering he’s a defensive end, but he should receive a few votes.

He’s one shy of matching his single-season high for sacks from 2022 (four), has seven tackles for losses per Pro Football Reference and has eight quarterback hits.

Markquese Bell

This undrafted free agent is proving to be quite the find for Dallas.

A former safety out of Florida A&M, Markquese Bell has adjusted well to the linebacking duties in the absence of Leighton Vander Esch, defending two passes and forcing a fumble.

According to PFF, he’s made 44 solo tackles, including one for a loss and is doing a fine job in two roles for this team.
