The Kansas City Chiefs took part in what seems to be their annual offseason trip to the White House but Travis Kelce explained why President Biden’s closest protection was not best pleased with him.
After the Chiefs won their second successive ring against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas, their trip to the White House was to be scheduled.
Traditionally, the Super Bowl winners are awarded an invite to the iconic White House and their victory is commemorated.
Travis Kelce spontaneously approaches the mic during the 2023 White House visit
In 2023, when President Biden’s back was turned on stage, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end tried to sneak a word into the microphone.
The Secret Service was not pleased with the comical attempt by Kelce last year and made their feelings very clear to the nine-time Pro Bowler.

On the weekend, Joe Biden invited Kelce onto the stage to share a few words.
The seven-time All-Pro announced: “My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all yet again.
“I’m not going to lie, President Biden, they told me if I came back up here I’d get tased, so I’m going to go back to my spot.”
Travis Kelce explains the serious threat of being tasered during the latest White House appearance
Travis Kelce explained upon his arrival that President Biden’s closest protection made the very serious threat that he could be tased.
In the latest New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers spoke about the events of the weekend and Travis doubled down on the ‘taser’ statement.
“That’s real. The Secret Service that’s all over the white house they weren’t too happy with me,” Kelce highlighted.
“They weren’t too happy with me on my second time visiting. And not just for (approaching the podium in 2023), but for the whole like, you remember I was talking to about how I had an expired ID and I got in the White House?
Kelce was told off by the Secret Service for having an expired license
Travis Kelce explained on the podcast about how he ‘got sh**’ for attending the White House trip last year with an expired license.
Moreover, he then went on to make an unauthorized speech as President Biden held up the Chiefs jersey.
Kelce only got a couple of words in before his teammate Patrick Mahomes ushered him away and apologized on his behalf.
The greatest tight end of all time made sure to bring suitable identification and not approach the podium uninvited on the latest visit.
Fortunately, unprompted, Joe Biden asked Kelce to make a speech that removed the chances of a tazer being pulled.
Travis Kelce seemed to have learned his lessons from the previous trip but kept his recent speech short and sweet.
