According to the latest reports, Travis Kelce’s Instagram followers have skyrocketed following Taylor Swift’s appearance at the Chiefs game last weekend.
The Chiefs‘ Super Bowl defense is officially underway, however, much of the talk on social media is away from the football field. TE Travis Kelce is rumored to be dating pop megastar Taylor Swift, who sat next to Trav’s mom Donna at Arrowhead against the Bears last weekend.

Travis Kelce gets near 7-figure Instagram follower boost after Taylor Swift link-up
Following the duo’s reported link-up, Kelce’s social media profiles has gone to the moon. According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Travis Kelce has gained over 860,000 followers on Instagram this past week.
Per @bknown, that’s more than 2023’s voted-on top 100 NFL players combined. Furthermore, Travis has gained more followers in September than he did following all three Super Bowls he played in combined.
And if you’re doubting the Taylor Swift effct: The NFL player who gained the second most Instagram followers last week was Jason Kelce who added 137,000.
What’s even more incredible is that over the last week, Travis Kelce has gained more IG followers than Taylor Swift herself, despite a ~270M difference in total followers:
His jersey sales have also gone through the roof
It comes after reports Kelce had a 400% increase in his jersey sales, making him a top five selling jersey in the NFL.
Kelce is undoubtedly a star in the NFL, but his alleged romance with Swift has put him in a different stratosphere.
In all likelihood that will continue this weekend as well as Swift is heavily rumored to be at MetLife Stadium to cheer him on against the New York Jets.
So far Kelce and the Chiefs have a 100% win record with Swift in the building – they’ll be doubt looking to continue that streak on Sunday evening.
