Ticket prices for the Chiefs vs Jets game this Sunday have soared following the news Travis Kelce’s rumored belle Taylor Swift will be in attendance.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, chances are you’ll be aware that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop megastar Taylor Swift are a bit of a thing. Swift was spotted at Arrowhead Stadium last weekend cheering on Trav as the Chiefs beat the Bears 41-10. The singer sat in a suite alongside Kelce’s mom Donna and it pretty much broke the internet.

According to reports, Swift is planning to attend Sunday’s showdown between the Chiefs and Jets at MetLife Stadium in New York.
Fox Sports reportedly drew 24.3 million viewers for its telecast of the game, making it the most-watched NFL game on any network for Week 3 and the highest-rated game of the week among three demographics of female viewers.

The impact of Swift’s presence in Week 3 was undeniable. Her fans, also known as ‘Swifties’, flocked to Kelce’s Instagram, boosting his followers by over 400,000, while his jersey sales have gone up 400 percent in the aftermath of the game.
Instagram followers and jersey sales aren’t the only thing soaring either, as ticket prices for the Chiefs vs Jets game have also risen considerably.
Prior to the news Swift would be in attendance at MetLife Stadium, the cheapest price for two seats together was reportedly $169.55 on Ticketmaster. However, that’s since jumped to $289.35 – a 70.66% increase.
Meanwhile, the cheapest seats in the lower bowl are $359.95 for a pair. According to Outkick, the average ticket price on SeatGeek for the Jets and Chiefs game is $508.
A representative for StubHub told Town & Country that “since Swift’s appearance at the Chiefs game on Sunday, the Jets have sold more tickets for their game against the Chiefs in a single day since the season started – by more than double.”

Kelce recently spoke about the Taylor Swift effect on his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, which he does weekly with his brother.
“I’m enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend,” he said, reflecting on his recent time with Swift. “Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy.
“I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her – the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light,” he said, while adding that the icing on the cake was that “the day went perfect for Chiefs fans of course.”
