Dallas Cowboys’ road struggles continued with a big loss at the Buffalo Bills, losing 31-10.
After the big win over Philadelphia a week ago, Dallas were in pole position to win the division. Now their fate is out of their hands once again, after a loss in Buffalo.
Dallas are scoring 18 fewer points per game in road games this season, with this another heavy loss to file alongside defeats at the Cardinals and the 49ers.
Naturally, the fallout has been unforgiving, with many pointing out that quarterback Dak Prescott instantly fell out of the MVP conversation.

Cowboys lose to Bills
The Cowboys have earned a reputation for beating the NFL’s worst teams, and aside from the win over the Eagles, losses have come against stronger opponents.
This was seized on by Stephen A Smith speaking to First Take, who said they simply got flattened by a team on their own level.
He said: “They bullies. And every time they run up against someone they own size they get punked. It’s what happened. This ain’t the Giants, the Commanders, the Panthers, the New England Patriots.”
He pointed out that opposing quarterback Josh Allen did not even need to be very good either, adding: “They run up against a team that said ‘we going to keep it simple’. I’m talking about a guy Josh Allen, he didn’t throw for 100 yards, because he didn’t have to.”
DeMarcus Lawrence criticised
Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence’s locker room speech after the Eagles win went viral, even prompting ESPN into an on-air apology after the profanities were broadcast.
There were no pumped-up speeches from the Cowboys players after this game.
Stephen A Smith retorted: “Didn’t I tell you to keep that same energy? Isn’t that what I said. Keep the same intensity.
“Sure enough you roll up to western New York and what happens, you got a bunch of brothers that’s waiting for you, that are saying ‘we ain’t going to be pretty. We going to run it down your throat we going to beat you down, and that’s what we did’.”
Shannon Sharpe agreed, adding: “Everybody running they mouth when things are going well. I need to see when things are not going well, do you still have the same energy?”
The Cowboys will have been braced for criticism after the manner of this loss. Now they need to respond against a Dolphins team coming form a big win over the Jets.
Former Jets coach Rex Ryan believes this was a hangover from their win over the Eagles. Let’s see how long it lasts.
