Stephen A Smith cannot believe what Dan Orlovsky has said about the Dallas Cowboys

One of the key talking points after the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff woes has been the idea of a ‘winning culture’.

The Dallas Cowboys failed to reach another NFC Championship in 2023, with their last coming back in 1995.

The five-time Super Bowl winners have endured a 29-year drought from winning silverware.

Jordan Love and his young Green Bay Packers unit steamrolled through the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

Dallas Cowboys look to bounce back from playoff loss

The Cowboys’ playoff fate was already sealed by halftime as they found themselves 27-7 down.

A later fourth-quarter scoring spree unraveled to make the scoreline more flattering.

Nonetheless, further post-season agony was secured leaving many questioning the Cowboys’ mentality.

Vice president and CEO, Stephen Jones, was present at the 2024 NFL Combine.

The son of owner Jerry Jones took a holistic approach when asked about the culture problems: “From the organization on down, we feel good about our culture.”

The Cowboys CEO believes they are satisfied with the culture around the franchise.

However, it is hard to believe when they continually fall short in the most important part of the entire season.

Jerry Jones also responded when asked about the culture problem in an interview: “We need to be able to stop the run better and be able to run the ball better.

“If that is culture then we have a problem.”

Cowboys winning culture debate

Like his son, the 81-year-old dismissed the notion that America’s Team has culture problems.

The Dallas Cowboys have recorded 12 wins in three consecutive seasons under head coach Mike McCarthy.

There seem to be no issues in the regular season but an unshakeable lack of composure in the playoffs.

On ESPN, Dan Orlovsky rejected the idea the Cowboys do not have a winning culture: “To say the Dallas Cowboys don’t have a winning culture is ridiculous.

“They absolutely have a winning culture. They’ve won 12 games three years in a row. They don’t have a championship culture.

Co-presenter, Stephen A. Smith, was perplexed at the statement: “What the hell is a winning culture?!

“What is winning? Sometimes I wonder about you. Something’s up that you are going to say this on national TV.

“We know about the Cowboys win in 1995, did you know since that time, 55 different teams among the North American four pro sports leagues have won Championships?

“13 different teams in the NFL, 12 different teams in the NBA, 16 different teams in Major League Baseball, and 14 different teams in the NHL. The Dallas Cowboys are not associated with having a winning culture, because they don’t win. They don’t win when it counts. Stop!”

Dallas Cowboys unable to repeat past success

The Dallas Cowboys’ historic dynasty of Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and many more, feels like a lifetime ago for many fans.

Jones knows the feeling of winning three Super Bowls in four years.

Tony Romo could not guide his beloved franchise to the promised land and now Dak Prescott struggles to.

Players have come and gone, is it time to look upstairs for the systemic issues?
