The Dallas Cowboys’ early exit from last year’s playoffs disappointed their fans – for yet another year.
Looking for a new approach, called ‘all-in’ by Jerry Jones, Dallas focussed on the Draft and hardly opened up to free agency.
All of the team’s commitments for the 2024 season have already been announced, and the calendar divides opinion. There are those who believe the Cowboys will have a very positive campaign and others who see the team with less than ten wins. Either way, it’s in the postseason that they find themselves in trouble .
We can’t forget the unfinished business the organisation has with its main stars: Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb.

The NFC East rival that did an excellent job in the offseason
Skip Bayless, as a fanatical Cowboys fan, expresses his opinions in a very convincing and emotional way. He gave his opinion on the results of the NFC East teams in the offseason.
“I’m looking at the Philadelphia Eagles and they won the off season. They won free agency to me and you can make a case. They won the draft.” said Bayless without hesitation.
“I know you can make a couple of other cases, but I’m gonna give them an A plus for free agency and I’ll at least give them an A for their draft.”
Naturally, he made a comparison and gave America’s Team a rating: “I give Dallas an F for free agency because they didn’t even try. Could they at least take a shot at Derek Henry who lives in Dallas, but nope, they don’t do that – they draft.”
“So then they go into the draft and they draft a bunch of projects starting with Tyler Guyton, who I know very well from the University of Oklahoma and maybe in a couple three years he’ll be really good. He might be great in a couple of three years, but we need him to be great right now, and I don’t think he’s anywhere near ready to be great. And we need a running back.”
He added: “I can’t help but love what Philadelphia did. Plus they, they got everybody signed, sealed and delivered.”
“And we still haven’t even done CeeDee Lamb yet to get a holdout of camp. I don’t know what’s happening.” vented the Speak Show host on last Thursday’s edition.
Skip Bayless’ prediction for the 2024 Cowboys
During the show, Bayless was honest about his guesses for Dallas’ wins and losses this season.
His conclusion is that the Cowboys will finish the regular season with an 8-9 record.
“Optimistically, I have the Cowboys going 8-9…losses at Cle, Balt, at Pitt, Det, at SF, Philly, Hou, Cincy, at Philly. I’m giving them at Atl and vs Baker but those are dicey. These “all in” Cowboys obviously are not as good as last year’s. They’ve lost so much.”
In the regular season, Dallas is always expected to do well. A greater effort is needed if the team advances to the playoffs.
