The Dallas Cowboys have been asked to shift into another gear after Justin Jefferson reset the wide receiver market with a monster deal to make CeeDee Lamb’s eyes light up.

CeeDee Lamb has made crystal clear his offseason intentions as he has withheld from every training program in the spring.

Lamb wants to be paid handsomely and he wants to be paid now.

The time for waiting is over in Dallas after Justin Jefferson obliterated the wide receiver market.

Moreover, the Minnesota Vikings have handed their receiver $35 million APY for the next four years.

Justin Jefferson become the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history to pile further pressure on Dallas

Not only is their star player the highest-paid wideout, but he has also topped Nick Bosa’s contract to become the most expensive non-QB.

The Dallas Cowboys have persisted in waiting and have let three separate receivers drive the market up.

Jerry Jones’ approach to the contract has caused controversy among the media as the price of Lamb continues to increase.

Lamb has produced a historic season for the Dallas Cowboys after surpassing Michael Irvin’s receiving yards and receptions single-year records.

CeeDee Lamb produced the most successful wide receiver season in franchise history

Lamb led the league with 135 receptions and finished second to Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill with 1,749 receiving yards.

Furthermore, Lamb has produced the best single wide receiver season in the franchise’s history and will have to be paid accordingly.

Since Jefferson inked the record-breaking contract, key figures have questioned whether his $35 million APY is the ceiling or the floor for Lamb’s price.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport believes the Cowboys will need to answer the question of where they value Lamb in comparison to Jefferson.

Rich Eisen claims that Lamb has every right to ask for more money than Jefferson

Moreover, NFL expert Rich Eisen boldly claimed: “He (Lamb) definitely has the ability to stake claim to saying he should beat Jefferson’s contract.”

On his show, Eisen believes that Lamb has every right to approach the negotiating table and ask for more than his competition.

Lamb is about to play in the fifth and final year of his rookie contract but could be exposed to the franchise tag.

However, this move would cost the Cowboys more on the cap which should deter them from considering the option.

Jerry Jones’ mind works in mysterious ways but the summer break is days away and the franchise needs to find a solution soon.

Cowboy Nation just wants the peace of mind to know that one key item on the offseason agenda is ticked off.
