New Dallas Cowboys defensive co-ordinator Mike Zimmer is planning one to one talks with Micah Parsons.
Mike Zimmer’s hire was approved by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month, replacing Dan Quinn, who is now the Washington Commanders head coach.
Now, Zimmer has begun work, and has been presented officially in Dallas.
Speaking to at a press conference, he was naturally asked about one of the team’s biggest defensive stars, Micah Parsons.

Mike Zimmer impressed by Micah Parsons
Quoted by Cowboys media, Mike Zimmer said he has been impressed by what he has seen from Pro Bowler Micah Parsons, from afar.
He said: “Obviously he’s a terrific player. You watch him on tape, he makes some unbelievably athletic plays.”
One of Parsons’ biggest qualities is his versatility. He can play as linebacker, defensive end, or at times, a hybrid of the two.
Zimmer has refused to commit to what position he will play Parsons in, and says he will hold talks with him to set out a plan.
The new DC says he believes his own big quality is his ability to identify the way to use a player to maximise their abilities, and plans to do this with Parsons.
“I think one of the strengths I’ve always had is kind of have a vision for each player and try to figure out how to use them in the best way.
“One of the things I would hate to do right now is to tell you how I’m thinking about playing him without talking to him, (saying), ‘OK, this is what I’m thinking about doing with you Micah.’ I don’t think I should tell you guys first before I tell him.”
