The latest injury news on Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons after the linebacker hobbled off against the Patriots in Week 4 with a knee/ankle issue.
The Dallas Cowboys demolished the New England Patriots 38-3 in Week 4 action, the largest margin of defeat in Bill Belichick’s near three-decade NFL career. It was a welcome victory for Dallas, who face much stiffer opposition next week in the undefeated 49ers. However, it wasn’t all positive news as the Cowboys suffered a potentially worrying injury blow to their best defenders.

Micah Parsons limps off against Pats
All-Pro defender Micah Parsons left the game against the Pats after suffering what appeared to be an ankle injury.
He appeared to clip his leg on another player before hobbling off to the side-lines for a few plays. Training staff retaped his ankle and he returned to the game but it was short lived as he returned to the side-lines after one play.
He spent some time in the medical tent before riding a bike on the side-line and returning to the game.
Micah Parsons injury latest ahead of Cowboys clash with 49ers
If the Cowboys are to have any chance of upsetting the 49ers this weekend they’ll need the likes of Parson fits and available.
Fortunately, it looks like he will be, as the latest Micah Parsons injury news makes for positive reading.
McCarthy said the issue is “not of high concern” to him. The Cowboys report Parsons is expected to be limited on Wednesday as a precaution but there’s ‘optimism’ around his status.

Other injury concerns
The Cowboys do have other injury concerns though. Running back Rico Dowdle exited the game against the Patriots in the third quarter with a hip injury and did not return. However, MRI scans Monday came back negative and he’s listed as having suffered a hip contusion.
Zack Martin (quad) is also banged up, but Mike McCarthy says both he and Dowdle both “have a chance to play” against the 49ers.
Eight-time Pro Bowler Tyron Smith has also missed the last two games with a knee injury, but could be a be a limited participant in Wednesday’s rehab group.
In terms of Parsons, though, it appears his injury isn’t severe and he should be fine to suit up against the 49ers.
