The Kansas City Chiefs will be heading into the 2024 season as the team to beat and one of their AFC West enemies has laid out their gameplan again.

Patrick Mahomes and the team cannot slack off during the 2023 offseason, as they prepare to defend their crown and achieve the never-to-be-done-before three-peat.

However, multiple teams will be hedging their bets that they can be the ones to finally knock the Chiefs off the top spot.

One of their historical foes, the Las Vegas Raiders, has been making movements to try and close the gap within the division.

The Raiders pose a threat with firepower added on offense and defense

In the most recent NFL Draft, they added the highest-graded tight end Brock Bowers to the offense.

In addition, on defense, the franchise added free agent Christian Wilkins to their dangerous defensive line.

Wilkins joins two-time Second-Team All-Pro Maxx Crosby and their pairing will be a nightmare for O-Linemen across the league.

The Raiders have been oozing confidence this offseason and head coach Antonio Pierce believes they have given other teams the ‘blueprint’ to beat the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs stunned on Christmas in 2023

In their most recent encounter, the Chiefs were handed a shock loss on Christmas Day to ruin their festive spirit.

The Raiders stunned a perplexed Arrowhead Stadium as they left 20-14 winners, smoking cigars on exit.

Mahomes was sacked four times during the tie and was restricted to a mere 31.6 quarterback rating.

Furthermore, the three-time Super Bowl MVP threw an interception and fumbled the ball on a sack.

Kansas City would go unbeaten to Super Bowl LVIII after the Raiders bullied their offensive line.

Maxx Crosby shared their brutal plan for Mahomes next season

Defensive end Maxx Crosby has explained the game plan that they have for Patrick Mahomes.

“You playin’ a guy like Mahomes, you cannot let him breathe. You have to be on his ass the whole time”, the Raiders star said via the Games with Names podcast.

He explained how they have drilled this into all the players: “We preach that all the time, that’s why we were able to beat the Chiefs because we didn’t let up at all.”

The Raiders and the Chiefs will meet again twice next year and the former has a chance to prove if their blueprint does work consistently.

Although Andy Reid has said that the loss helped them and inspired the franchise to go on and win the Super Bowl.
