The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 schedule has already been set. It’s time for the franchise to study each of its opponents and put the “three-peat plan” into practice.
The regular season kicks off on two highs for KC. In the opening game, an AFC Championship rematch against the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson may get his revenge, albeit in much smaller proportions.
In Week 2, Kansas City faces the Cincinnati Bengals with a 100 per cent healthy Joe Burrow looking to return to the Super Bowl.
From those two weeks onwards, the rest of the schedule doesn’t look so complicated for the defending champions.
It’s interesting to keep in mind that in 2023 the Chiefs didn’t have a regular season to be applauded – they went through difficulties and made it to the playoffs with a lot of sweat. The result: another Lombardi Trophy for the shelf.

Former Chiefs don’t see the team having any struggles in 2024
LeSean McCoy, on Thursday’s edition of the Speak Show, was direct and questioned why people like to discuss KC’s chances according to the calendar when it’s the other teams that need to watch out for the Chiefs.
“I think that it’s the Chiefs and we got them put more respect on the Chiefs. We keep talking about their schedule. We should be talking about the teams playing the Chiefs. They’re the big dogs, right?”
Shady pointed out: “So as much as we wanna talk about this schedule, listen, man, I’m gonna be honest about this because they didn’t taught me something (the Chiefs). You can never count them out for one and two is, it could be the greatest Packers team… It doesn’t matter, Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce – they gotta figure it out and they gotta beat them. So, there’s no real issue here. It’s a regular day of the program at work.”
James Jones sees no reason to discuss KC before the playoffs
At this point, the Chiefs don’t need to prove anything. They’ve already won three Super Bowls in five years and they’re obsessed with a fourth.
James Jones, a former NFL player, agreed with McCoy and added: “Leave the Chiefs alone. I know I show y’all do a lot of producing on the show and all that the Chiefs should never be in our show until the playoffs. I know Patty is great, but until the playoffs we should talk to everybody else, right?
“Get in some airtime, talk to everybody else because we know when the playoffs come, it’s gonna be Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, and they taught me something too because they were at their worst and they can’t go out of my head, right?”
Jones reiterated: “I don’t care who they added, what they’ve done, who the coach is. Leave the Chiefs alone until the playoffs start.”
Yes, Chiefs Kingdom, expectations are sky-high…
