Once again, Cowboys nation is fed up with playing the same stressful game every offseason with their own team.
No good news for Dallas Cowboys fans. Free agency is ongoing and Jerry Jones hasn’t moved a muscle to sign anyone yet. Actually, that should come as a surprise, considering that – apparently – the team is going ‘all-in’ for the 2024 season.
It’s clear that the message Jones is sending to his men in the locker room is a negative one. The impression is that, for yet another year, the Cowboys will be beaten by their own general manager’s stubborn unwillingness to innovate in the way he does things.
The most notable running back and until then one of the most highly rated free agents, Derrick Henry has signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens after spending eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
He will join Lamar Jackson – this duo has a strong chance of having a successful season. The “King” was a tremendous piece that Dallas missed out on. An important loss among many others.

Why did Derrick Henry not sign
The truth is that Derrick Henry may have been considered and wanted by several teams, but he has chosen to go to the one that offered him the best conditions.
And it’s not just about money. He seems to have found himself with the Ravens and, in his 30s, wants to be part of a team that can maximize his chances of winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
In a recent edition of the Undisputed show, Keyshawn Johnson brought up a new theory about Henry not coming to the Cowboys, which completely escapes the ideas surrounding the Jerry Jones tradition.
“Maybe he just didn’t want to be in Dallas. If you wanted to be in Dallas, he’d pick up the phone as a free agent and tell his agent to reach out to a team that desperately needs a running back.”
“Or maybe yet the Dallas Cowboys are not that interested in veteran running backs, because again, you could have got Aaron Jones.
“You also could have picked up Joe Mixon in a trade, but he goes to the Texans. And the prize of all prizes, goes to your arch rival. In the Philadelphia Eagles. You could get that if you wanted that. You could have approached it.”
While there could be countless theories or reasons on the table as to why Henry didn’t sign with Dallas, there could also be nothing – just the same old predictable GM protocol.
