The Kansas City Chiefs are never unfavoured to win the Super Bowl. And this year the stakes are even higher.

The team’s 2023 season wasn’t the best, but it’s well known that Patrick Mahomes and Co. can’t be doubted.

Despite a happy outcome, last year’s troubles forced the organisation to join forces to make the best possible offseason and Draft within the needs of the squad.

Combining business with pleasure, the franchise brought in Hollywood Brown in order to revive the explosiveness and speed of the receiving corps.

The pass-catcher, in the NFL since 2019, was with the Arizona Cardinals and so far hasn’t shone as much as he could in the game. His arrival in KC could open up new horizons for the player.

In addition, the rookies chosen in the Draft and the other additions are already surprising in the practices. Some of Brown’s new offensive teammates include Xavier Worthy, Jared Wiley and Louis Rees-Zammit.

Hollywood Brown will be very well utilised in 2024

At a press conference on Wednesday, Brown spoke about the process of adapting to playing for a new team. He seems happy and increasingly confident that he can play at a high level for the Chiefs.

“They’re letting me play. They’re letting me be a weapon. I’m not stuck in this room or that room. They’re letting me be a weapon for the offense.”

He was also asked about his rapport with Mahomes on the field: “It has been good, from when we first started going back in Dallas until now. Just keep improving. He’s trusting me more, so that’s good.”

There are already records of the quarterback throwing passes to Brown.

Mahomes believes Hollywood can do much more than catch balls

Pat Mahomes is young but carries the experience of someone who seems to have been in the league for more than ten years.

After his teammate’s testimony, the QB spoke to the media on Thursday and gave his opinion on how Hollywood can add to the offensive game, beyond receptions.

“Honestly, I don’t know how he’s here in our place because of how talented he is – he’s gonna help get Trav open, help get Rashee open, he’s gonna help get all these guys open… I’m very excited to get him out there in the regular season.”
