The Kansas City Chiefs have crossed off another offseason task after they announced the moral boosting extensions for three key figureheads.
Kansas City confirmed that Andy Reid, Brett Veach, and Mark Donovan have all signed their long-term futures to the franchise.
The holy trinity has worked together since 2017 and has guided the team to three Super Bowl rings.
In addition, they have dominated the AFC West winning seven consecutive titles.
With Patrick Mahomes as the engine of the franchise, the growth that all three have overseen is incredible.
Mark Donovan receives a new deal but is met with backlash from Mike Florio
Rightfully, they are all recipients of new deals and will continue their fruitful partnership for many years to come.
However, Pro Football Talk presenter Mike Florio had some harsh words for Mark Donovan.
The Vice president was pictured on the graphic the Chiefs produced to announce the extension on X.
Yet, the journalist took aim at the Chiefs’ Team President and claimed he was stealing the spotlight.
On his daily football show, Florio stated: “If things were going sideways on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs and Brett Veach and Andy Reid were on the hot seat, we wouldn’t be talking about Mark Donovan.
“This is just one of the things that drives the football people crazy, there is always somebody who tries to slide into the spotlight when everything is doing well. When it’s not, they are hiding under the bed.”
Florio blames the landslide tax extension defeat on Mark Donovan
Florio accuses Donovan of trying to steal Veach and Reid’s thunder because it is all going well.
On the other hand, if it was not going smoothly, you would not hear a pep out of the Team President.
The presenter proceeded to mention the failed tax extension that Donovan was in charge of.
Suggesting the only matter that the executive has been involved in failed miserably for the franchise.
The sales tax was a landslide defeat but Donovan has been a fundamental piece that has laid crucial foundations.

Clark Hunt would not have awarded an extension without good reason
He would have had a defining decision to bring Andy Reid and Brett Veach to the franchise.
Ultimately, the outburst seemed irrational and vindictive as the Team President has had an exceptional role in their recent success.
Owner Clark Hunt would not have presented him with a new deal if he felt it was not warranted.
