Dak Prescott has been at the center of the Dallas Cowboys’ offseason speculation and one NFL expert suggests a radical move for the quarterback.

America’s Team has just concluded their first batch of post-NFL Draft OTAs and the main body of their roster has started its preparations for 2024.

Dak Prescott has been present at the OTAs and has been very content with life at the moment despite the lingering extension.

If he is not, then the 30-year-old is very good at hiding his true feelings.

Dak Prescott is keen to participate in team OTAs as he is perfectly placed for an extension

Ultimately, it is unanimously known that Prescott holds all the leverage in the negotiation and could test the open market in 2025.

Jerry Jones’ deal with the three-time Pro Bowler back in 2021 has pinned him into a corner where he cannot escape.

Reports have emerged that the Dallas quarterback could breach the $60 million APY ceiling and become the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Despite his postseason success being underwhelming, this is the number Prescott could be pushing because of his negotiating position.

Jerry Jones has every reason to extend Dak Prescott with an enormous cap hit in 2024

There has been radio silence from the Dallas camp about an imminent extension and the matter could trickle on into the new season.

Moreover, the MVP runner-up is set to have the second-largest 2024 NFL cap hit at $55.4 million. This served as more motivation for the Cowboys to extend Prescott and restructure his deal.

However, Cowboy Nation now faces a period of uncertainty and the chances of a rebuild in 2025 grow with every passing day.

NFL expert encourages Prescott to take ‘way less money’ in explosive rant

Yesterday, Good Morning Football host and NFL expert Kyle Brandt hit out at Dak Prescott’s OTA interview comments, regarding caring about money.

He uploaded a video to social media, saying: “Go to your agent and say, ‘I want to stay a Cowboy, I want to be a Cowboy for life, and I want to be a Cowboy for way less money.

“Give me the Brady deal. Give me the discounted deal, in fact, give me half of that. In fact, give me the veteran minimum.'”

The NFL personality encouraged Prescott to put his money where his mouth is and play on a heavily reduced salary.

Nonetheless, this is not how the NFL works and Prescott may not entirely care about the money but he still wants to earn a competitive wage.

With agents being the mediator in negotiations, they will always pursue the best deal possible for their clients.

Todd France, Prescott’s agent, will want to make him the highest-paid quarterback in the league. They won the deal in 2021 and they will have their sights set on earning another victory in 2024.
