The Dallas Cowboys have all the indicators saying they are fully locked in on building their roster through the NFL Draft.
Only one outside free agent has joined the roster, Eric Kendricks links up with his former defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
Historically, America’s Team has been one of the best drafters in the NFL, so have backed themselves to do so again.
Cowboys to host five of the best top 30 talents
The Cowboys are due to host five of the top 30 draft prospects in their upcoming visits.
In a nutshell, this is a viable tell as to who the Cowboys are keen on and what positions need talent.
Additionally, the visits are an extra way to get to know the players and examine their athleticism on a closer basis.
Furthermore, the main focus for Jerry Jones is unsurprisingly an offensive lineman.
Mike Fisher reported on his YouTube channel the top 30 draft prospects visiting The Star.
The five college graduates were:
- Taliese Fuaga, offensive tackle out of Oregon State, ranked the 14th best draft talent.
- Byron Murphy II, defensive lineman out of Texas University, ranked the 19th best draft talent.
- Troy Fautanu, offensive tackle out of Washington, ranked the 20th best draft talent.
- Jackson Powers-Johnson, versatile center/guard out of Oregon, ranked the 24th best draft talent.
- Graham Barton, offensive lineman out of Duke, ranked the 27th best draft talent.
‘It’s a match’ for the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys beat writer was most excited about Powers-Johnson saying ‘it’s a match’ for Dallas.
Currently, Jerry Jones will be on the clock with the 24th pick in the NFL Draft, which is why the versatile lineman matches.

The 21-year-old can play center or guard which is invaluable for the offensive line, a Cowboys O-line that has many gaps to fill.
As Fisher said, the Cowboys are looking at higher-rated talent like Fuaga, Murphy, and Fautanu because there is a chance they could drop.
Cowboys could pick based off value not need
Ultimately, Cowboy Nation has a glimmer of hope this offseason with the NFL Draft.
Fisher did say that the Cowboys will often pick players they do not necessarily need but the draft stock is so high they cannot let them pass.
For example, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and defensive end Micah Parsons.
Both players fell to the Cowboys’ pick and were not key issues to address but they were selected anyway.
