Kansas City have not hung around since becoming back-to-back Super Bowl champions as they rejuvenate their roster for 2024.
Patrick Mahomes has a new weapon in Marquise Brown as he joined on a one-year deal.
Moreover, Chris Jones has happily become the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history.
The Chiefs have said goodbye to various faces including star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed.
But the Chiefs need to find a supporting running back for their starter Isiah Pacheco.
The 25-year-old rushed for 935 yards in his sophomore campaign and will be looking to make a big step next season.
However, he will need support in the run game.

Chiefs could look back to a familiar face
Andy Reid is on the hunt for a RB2 in the offseason and there are some interesting options on the table.
Simply, the reliable option is to resign the man who had that exact role last season, Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
He started the three games that Pacheco did not and finished 2023 with 223 regular season yards.
Clyde Edwards will be a cheap option and knows the system already.
One of the next options is the former Philadelphia Eagle Rashad Penny.
After suffering a season-ending broken fibula in 2022, Penny has not reached the same heights.
He was the backup to DeAndre Swift in Pennsylvania and mustered a mere 11 carries all season in 2023.
Money is not an issue, but can he provide the supporting role Pacheco needs?
Chiefs turn to ex-rusher of an AFC rival?
One of the more exciting prospects on the market is J.K. Dobbins.
A player who had so much promise but has been plagued with devastating injuries.
At the Baltimore Ravens, he rushed for 805 yards in his rookie season while starting just one game.
But a torn ACL in 2021 and an Achilles tendon in 2023 concluded the seasons.
If he could remain healthy, he is the best option on the list, but that is a big ‘if’.
Would Elliott be satisfied as a RB2
Next is the former 2016 Offensive Rookie of the Year Ezekiel Elliott. The 28-year-old took the league by storm in his rookie season and has had consistent production.
From where his performances were once at, he has dropped off but could come close to 700 yards with the right offense and carries.
Furthermore, his small stocky build allows him to gain those hard yards in the short down territory.
The most expensive option on the list but has had the best production.
Another option is to bring back Jerick McKinnon who could be signed to another one-year deal.
The veteran rusher mustered just 60 yards rushing in 2023. He knows the system but is he willing to come back?
Overall, the most enthusiastic signing is J.K. Dobbins if he can remain healthy.
Or Kansas City could look towards the draft.
