The Dallas Cowboys have chosen to navigate a quiet offseason.
But the franchise’s caution could also be mistaken for carelessness. The front office is confident that 2024 will be an ‘all-in’ year.
In reality, the term has been open to more than one perception, both positive and negative.
Coming off a ‘more of the same’ season, Dallas kept its main stars in the squad and lost solid players who held their units together.

The Cowboys are following a silent script
So far, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons don’t have a guaranteed future with the Cowboys for long.
The organisation has already openly stated that it is waiting for “more leaves to fall” before taking bigger steps than they should.
It’s important to note that Jerry Jones does want to prolong the Big Three’s contract, but this year could be one that changes the course of the team forever.
2025 could be a rebuilding season. Or, depending on what America’s Team shows on the field – during the playoffs, to be clear – a maintenance of the squad.
Time is money, Dallas… CeeDee Lamb’s value is increasing
Lamb, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL today, is already reacting to the franchise’s lack of negotiations to renew him.
He hasn’t been present at the OTAs, which began more than a week ago.
In addition, the Cowboys are probably more than aware that the WR is getting more and more expensive.
That’s because since the beginning of free agency many receivers have extended their contracts for huge amounts. And it’s certain that the veteran won’t accept less than what he really deserves.
To date, A.J Brown is the highest paid wide receiver in the league, who will earn $32 million annually. Justin Jefferson is still waiting for a new deal and could surpass the value of the Philadelphia Eagles player.
CeeDee Lamb is Dallas’ priority
On Wednesday, ESPN reporter Todd Archer has brought new information about when the organisation intends to make a move and renew Lamb’s contract.
Apparently, the Cowboys have him as a priority over Prescott and Parsons.
“The talks with Lamb could begin in earnest soon, with an eye on getting finalized in training camp.” said.
In addition, Archer told that the front office should leave the negotiations with Micah Parsons for last, since they can still count on the pass-rusher in 2025 and can eventually put him on the franchise tag in 2026 (if necessary).
