The Kansas City Chiefs have been grafting hard with their rookie in the OTAs as they quickly settle into their new environment in preparation for the 2024 season.

Being a rookie coming into Kansas City is an amazing opportunity but the job comes with added pressure because of the potential season on the cards.

Patrick Mahomes and his red machine will be looking to become the first team in NFL history to achieve the unchartered three-peat.

The rookies are entering a winning environment that is set on becoming history-makers

Eight teams have tried before them and not one of the challengers emerged victorious. Moreover, none of the hopefuls returned to the Super Bowl during their three-peat venture.

Therefore, the odds are stacked against the Chiefs and they will have to battle the history of the NFL to become record-breakers.

Their rookie class of 2024 will be fully aware of the significance being placed upon the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 season will be under the microscope and the team will understand the pressure of the season.

However, the newbies have joined a competitive environment with an excellent culture and a winning mentality.

Jared Wiley is eager to make an instant display during his rookie campaign

One of the rookies who will be looking to have a lasting impact is tight end Jared Wiley.

The rookie out of TCU has been grafting during the OTAs and developing his chemistry with Patrick Mahomes.

Wiley will be mentored by the greatest tight end in NFL history, Travis Kelce, and could serve as his successor if all goes to plan.

Wiley expressed his willingness to learn from Travis Kelce during an interview

Furthermore, the rookie has already been open about his desire to learn from the highest-paid tight end in NFL history.

“I’ve been studying him for like three or four years,” Wiley said to the Chiefs media team.

“Just being in the same position room as him now, there’s a star-struck feeling. I’ve watched him play for a [long time] and tried to model my game after him in some areas that I can.

“Just being able to absorb information and learn from him and see his habits and be a fly on the wall to see what he does day-in and day-out is very exciting.”

Wiley will shadow Travis Kelce with the hope of being his successor the end goal

The Kansas City rookie has expressed his motivation to shadow the seven-time All-Pro as he learns the ropes in the NFL.

Travis Kelce is tied down to a minimum of two more years in the NFL and Wiley will be analyzing his every move.

Additionally, Wiley will act as a sponge and try to absorb as much information as possible, from training programs to reading schemes, and interacting with fellow teammates.

The ceiling for the 23-year-old has grown exponentially because of the teacher he can learn from; expectations are high.
