The Dallas Cowboys has been one of the most underwhelming sports teams in the world and their lack of success is magnified when compared to their sister teams in Dallas.

America’s Team has been crying out for some form of postseason success in over two decades but they cannot seem to find the magic formula.

Despite being one of the most successful regular-season franchises, the team cannot seem to break the playoff curse.

However, when the team enters the postseason, they become a shadow of the franchise that earned them their spot in the first place.

Furthermore, it is not just the current regime that cannot get over the hump. The curse stretches back to the Tony Romo Era, all the way to 1995.

Jerry Jones’ franchise tasted Super Bowl success for the first time under his guidance in 1992. They continued their stellar form with their great dynasty with a successive Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Unfortunately, they fell short in the 1994 NFC Championship final and missed out on being the first team to three-peat. Yet, their grievance did not last long and they won their third ring in four years.

Amid the abundance of joy and celebration, the Super Bowl win marked the start of a dark fate. This would be their last Super Bowl appearance until the present day, and still, the wait goes on.

However, the same cannot be said for the other sports teams in Dallas.

The Major League Baseball franchise the Texas Rangers won the first-ever World Series after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023.

Additionally, the Dallas Mavericks have qualified for the 2024 Western Conference Finals after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-2.

Finally, the Dallas Star appeared in the Western Conference Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights but would lose the series.

All three major Dallas sports teams have qualified and appeared in either the world finals or their conferences.

The Dallas Cowboys will be desperate to join the club but face an uphill battle. America’s Team will try to crack the formula to at least make the NFC Championship and not let history win again.

It is unforgivable that the world’s most expensive franchise has seen such little success in recent history.
