Dallas offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer raved about Dak after the Rams win and said the Cowboys QB reminds him of Drew Brees.
The Cowboys moved to 5-2 with a dominant win against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 304 passing yards and 4 TDs, CeeDee Lamb had 158 yards and 2 scores, and cornerback DaRon Bland had a pick-six en route to a 43-20 win.
Dak has impressed in last two games
It is now back-to-back wins for the Cowboys following their Week 6 win over the Chargers. It’s been an impressive response to the massive disappointment against the 49ers in Week 5 when the team was blown out 42-10.
In his last two games, Dak has thrown for 576 yards, five touchdowns and one rushing TD.

Cowboys OC compares Dak Prescott to Drew Brees
After the win against the Rams, Dallas offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer raved about Dak and compared him to one of the best to ever do it.
Speaking about Prescott bouncing back from the loss to the 49ers, Schottenheimer said (via Jon Machota of The Athletic), “Stud. Man, he really is a stud.
“He never changes who he is. When you see him today, he’s no different than he was after the 49ers game. I think that speaks to experience. I think it speaks to his confidence. … There’s an inner calm about the guy that it’s really cool to sit next to him on game day. … He’s just awesome to be around. He makes me a better person every day.
“Guys like that are guys you really, really want to see have success. He reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. They’re wired very similarly. It’s not ever about them, it’s about the team and what can they do that’s best for the team.”
Dak has certainly looked pretty great in the past few games, but as ever he will be judged on how he does against the very best teams in the NFL.
Fortunately for Prescott he has the chance to prove himself this week when the Cowboys travel to Philadelphia for a showdown against the 7-1 Eagles.
