Chris Broussard says Bill Belichick to the Dallas Cowboys depends on one player

The Dallas Cowboys once again unintentionally grabbed the headlines in the NFL through ESPN’s latest report.

A collaborative report between three ESPN journalists has made reason to believe that Bill Belichick could be the Dallas Cowboys head coach in 2025.

Mike McCarthy has just one year remaining on his deal and anything less than an NFC Championship appearance will probably be the end of his tenure.

Per ESPN’s source, a close friend of Belichick has implied that the eight-time Super Bowl winner will not be a head coach again.

However, he would consider a return to action if working under Dallas owner Jerry Jones.

Therefore, with a good chance there could be a vacancy with the Cowboys next year, the links are being made.

The most successful head coach of all time remains unemployed during the offseason.

Per ESPN, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft told Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank to not trust Belichick.

Ultimately, the 72-year-old missed out on the Falcons’ role and prepares to spend a year away from football.

Jerry Jones mentioned Belichick in the offseason but persisted with McCarthy at the helm.

Nonetheless, another underachieving season would lead to McCarthy’s dismissal and Belichick could be appointed.

The eye-opening investigative report was discussed on First Things First show yesterday.

Chris Broussard said there was one condition that Belichick to the Cowboys would make sense.

On the show, he explained: “Yes, under one condition. You bring back Dak [Prescott]!

“If they get rid of Dak, then I’m not even looking at Belichick because we’re kinda rebuilding I guess.”

Broussard implies that if Belichick is instated as the coach then there would be no possible rebuild on the cards.

Due to the unemployed head coach’s age, it would be Super Bowl or nothing territory.

The installment would deliver the message, ‘We are winning a ring in the next 2 to 3 years’.

For that to happen, they must keep the MVP runner-up Dak Prescott.

Furthermore, the signal-caller enters the final year of his deal and there have been suggestions he could play it out.

Then he could hit free agency in 2025 the same time that Bill Belichick could be put in charge.

So, they must have a primed and ready-to-go quarterback if they appoint the Tennessee native in 2025.
