The Carolina Panthers 0-2 start to the NFL season has sparked drastic action already.
After just two games it is no overreaction to say the Carolina Panthers are the worst team in the NFL.
With number one draft pick Bryce Young quarterbacking the team, it was not supposed to be this way.
Young’s confidence looks totally shot, and the Panthers have made the decision to bench him. Now their decision to trade up with the Chicago Bears looks even worse.

Financial implications if Panthers trade Bryce Young
Andy Dalton has been named as the Panthers starter and it is hard to see if there is a way back in Carolina for Bryce Young.
He has been placed in a team devoid of talent and his confidence has disappeared. He looks like he might need a new place to call home.
NFL expert Bill Barnwell has broken down how trading away Young would be palatable financially for the Panthers, even though it would be humiliating.
Due to Young’s rookie salary, Carolina would only need to commit to $6.1 million in ‘dead money’ on the salary cap this year and $12.3 million next.
Barnwell adds: “Not difficult to make that work.”
In terms of teams looking to acquire Young, he explains they would be paying $10.1 million guaranteed over the next two years, describing it as ‘backup money’.
Miami Dolphins tipped for Young trade
For prospective buyers, Young is an attractive reclamation project who a lot of teams will already have done due diligence on.
Asked which team he would recommend trades for Bryce Young, Barnwell posted a picture of Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.
The Miami Dolphins are currently lining up for Week 3 with back-up quarterback Skylar Thompson after starter Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion.
Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce has urged Tagovailoa to retire, with his health a major talking point in the NFL.
One way or another, the Dolphins need to be making contingency plans, and Bryce Young may be an intriguing option if the opportunity to trade emerges.
