Andy Reid has provided a concerning injury update to linebacker Nick Bolton after he went off during the Chiefs win over the Chargers.

The Chiefs moved to 6-1 for the season on Sunday after an entertaining win over the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

Mahomes and Kelce show out in win over Chargers

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were at their scintillating best, combining for their 50th regular season touchdown. The Chiefs QB finished with 424 passing yards and four touchdowns; it was his 10th career game with at least 400 passing yards, making him only the seventh player to reach that mark.

Kelce, meanwhile, finished the game with 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown. It was his fifth career game with 10+ receptions and at least 150 receiving yards, something no tight end has ever done before.

Chiefs linebacker forced off during fourth quarter

It was a near perfect afternoon for the Chiefs, however, one concerning injury update has left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth.

In the fourth quarter of the game, linebacker Nick Bolton jogged off the field before lying down on the sideline. Bolton appeared to injure his left wrist after tackling Keenan Allen before the Chargers’ wide receiver fell on him.

Bolton was seen to by Chiefs medical staff and was ruled as questionable to return, although he didn’t.

Andy Reid’s concerning injury update on Nick Bolton

After the game, Andy Reid confirmed the news wasn’t good.

“Nick Bolton has a dislocated wrist,” Reid said. “They’re working on that now, and we’ll see how he does. He really had a heck of a game up to that point.”

Bolton led the Chiefs with nine tackles against the Chargers. He has already missed chunks of the 2023 season after a high ankle sprained ruled him from Week 3 through to Week 5. Linebacker Drue Tranquill, who is averaging 2.5 sacks this season, will likely have to fill in for him again in the next few weeks.
