Jerry Jones has implied that his franchise quarterback Dak Prescott will be playing out the rest of his deal.

CeeDee Lamb enters the final year of his contract after coming off his best-ever season in Dallas.

Additionally, Micah Parsons has become eligible for an extension as he gears up to play for his fourth year.

Jones refuses to give his players the big deals

Nonetheless, Jerry Jones has not budged and is reluctant to cough up the money because of minimal success.

America’s Team has failed to reach an NFC Championship since 1995 and therefore has no ring to show.

After being embarrassed at home to the youngest team in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers, the owner has had enough.

The Cowboys’ three big stars are all in search of new contracts.

Parsons’ situation is not as urgent as Lamb’s as he has two seasons outstanding on his current deal.

Jones is not spending money until he gets ‘something out of it’

Radio and TV show host Craig Carton honed in on what all these outstanding contract situations could mean.

Carton had a theory, he claimed: “The fact they haven’t signed CeeDee Lamb going into the final year of his contract. You have got one kinda wiggle room here with Micah, you don’t have to sign him until this time next year but you now know where Jerry Jones stands on things.

“It’s that, I’m (Jerry Jones) not writing the super-duper big cheque for 100 plus million dollars until I get something out of it.

“Right now, for 28 years, the Dallas Cowboys, who have spent a lot of money over the 28 years, and don’t have a single Super Bowl appearance to show for it, he is now saying at 81 years old… the chequebook is closed.”

Ultimately, the owner is tired of not receiving a profit (Super Bowls) on his investment within the team.

Cowboys owner sending harsh message to key players

Jones is sending out a message to all the star players you will not get paid the money you want unless you give me something in return.

CeeDee Lamb has been a top-five wide receiver since his draft back in 2020, so has earned the right for a big deal.

Reports suggested that Lamb could be willing to abstain from training to force an extension.

At the moment, there seems to be a lack of clarity about offseason proceedings and a standoff could emerge.

As a result, fans have become alienated from the franchise and Jerry Jones’ tenure is turning very sour.
