The Mahomes family carries a talented and hereditarily successful surname.

Patrick Mahomes needs no introduction. Three-time Super Bowl champion, three-time MVP of the SB and two-time MVP of the regular season.

His father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., had an impressive 11-year career as a Major League Baseball pitcher. He showcased his talents with various teams, including the Twins, Red Sox, Mets, Rangers, Cubs and Pirates, from 1992 to 2003.

Throughout his stint as an MLB pitcher, Mahomes Sr. amassed a record of 42 wins and 39 losses, along with an ERA of 5.47 and an impressive 452 strikeouts.

But it looks like there’s a new talent in the family that could be appearing in the NFL soon.

Graham Walker, a talent in the making

Remember this name: Graham Walker.

He’s the son of Pat Mahomes Sr. and half-brother of the reigning Super Bowl champion.

Walker’s career in American football has been an interesting one. Following a brilliant spell at Brown University, the wide receiver embarked on a journey through the transfer portal with the intention of maximising his chance of reaching the NFL Draft.

He is responsible for his own growth. During his sophomore campaign at Brown, the standout WR made an impact on the field, securing 54 receptions for 664 yards and six touchdowns in just 10 games.

Throughout the last three years, he has racked up almost 1,500 receiving yards and scored an impressive 15 touchdowns, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with in college football.

In February this year, the player joined Rice University as a post graduate transfer.

Mahomes Sr. talks about his hitherto unknown son

In an interview with Fox 4 in Kansas City, Pat Mahomes Sr. took the spotlight off the Kansas City Chiefs’ idol and took the opportunity to highlight Walker, his talented son who people should keep an eye on.

As a matter of fact, the young player prefers to keep a low profile.

“He’s a little bit more laid back than the others,” claimed. “(Graham) stays away from the spotlight and goes out and grinds and works. But he is a very impressive young man.”

The former MLB pitcher added: “His manners are intact, his stepdad did a great job with him, his mom did a great job with him and now I’m getting the chance to put my hands on him a little more.”

The 16-year-old is gradually equipping himself with everything he needs to fulfil his dream of playing in the NFL.

“He’s come to the realization that he has a chance to play in the NFL, so he’s going to try and go out and explore all the possibilities,” said Mahomes Sr. “(He’ll take) Whatever road that leads to try to give himself a chance to play at the next level like we all want to.”
