The Super Bowl is the culmination of a season’s worth of blood, sweats and tears that comes down to one final game.

The best of the NFC takes on the best of the AFC to determine who that season’s NFL champions are. The current Super Bowl champions are of course, the Kansas City Chiefs, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

When the Chiefs and Eagles last won the Super Bowl

The Kansas City Chiefs have won three Super Bowls in their history while the Eagles have won one.

The Chief’s first victory came in 1969 at Super Bowl IV when they beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-7. Their second Super Bowl success came at the end of the 2019 season when Patrick Mahomes led them to a 31-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Their third victory came last season.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ one and only Super Bowl victory came at the end of the 2017 season when they beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

While the New England Patriots have won the joint most Super Bowls, they have also lost the joint most. They have lost the Super Bowl five times in their history (1986, 1997, 2008, 2012, 2017).

The Denver Broncos are the only other NFL team with five Super Bowl losses (1978, 1987, 1988, 1990, 2014).
