Micah Parsons fires back at Rob Gronkowski and Deebo Samuel in X blast

Micah Parsons isn’t making many friends across the NFL with all his X rants.

On Christmas Day, the Dallas Cowboys All-Pro linebacker went off on San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy as his MVP chances took a hit in a 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Purdy threw four interceptions before being replaced by Sam Darnold in the fourth quarter of that encounter.

“Weird Situation”

As is often the case when a public figure goes on a social media rant, many took exception to Parsons’ criticism of Purdy.

On “Up and Adams”, former All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski took aim at Parsons over his X post.

“There’s a saying out there,” Gronk said.

“Losers focus on winners, and winners focus on winning. If you want to be a winner, you’ve just got to focus on winning. It’s really weird …”

The Cowboys are 3-5 on the road this season but have yet to beat a team with a winning record away from home.

San Fran hammered Dallas in October, 42-10 on a night when Purdy threw four touchdown passes, and Dak Prescott tossed three interceptions.

Purdy’s teammate, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, had his say about the attacks on his quarterback, taking shots at Parsons and former All-Pro QB Cam Newtown, who also said negative things about Purdy.

“Bro, we beat you 42 to, like, whatever the score may be, like, a long time ago,” Samuel said of Parsons.

“I don’t get why he’s so bothered by what we’ve got going on over here or whatever the case may be. … I don’t understand, like, you saying that you could be a quarterback in this offense. Like, I don’t understand where you’re going with that.”

For his part, Parsons had just one solo tackle and 0 sacks in the loss to San Fran.

However he’s among the league leaders in quarterback pressures and hits while leading the Cowboys in sacks (13).

Parsons Firing Back

One thing Parsons is never short on is fight, and that’s not just on the field when trying to shake off a blocker.

He’s just as active on social media as he is making tackles and chasing quarterbacks.

So, as you might imagine, he didn’t take kindly to Gronk’s critique of his X post.

“Prime example of, ‘Let’s attack the person rather than addressing the topic!”

“Yeah,” Micah wrote, “because it’s so weird a football player is talking about football on a web site where you can write your own thoughts and opinions!”

Parsons also responded to Samuel’s fiery response on X, a post which Samuel deleted with Micah saying:

“Don’t join Eagles country [three laughing crying emojis] with this bs!! lol bro I just love the game! I love what you doing tho you a dawg bro!”

The Niners’ loss to Baltimore puts them in a three-way tie for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs in the NFC, as they, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions are all at 11-4.

Dallas has lost two in a row, currently sitting at 10-5.

They return to AT&T Stadium on Saturday for a date with the Detroit Lions.
