Kelce, the top-trending dog name in the US

It seems pet owners across America are NFL fans and love the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Either that or perhaps no one can get enough of Travis Kelce or his brother Jason.

Both of them are former Super Bowl champions and elite players at their respective positions who could be in the Hall of Fame when their careers are complete.

The pet-sitting website Rover recently released a report of some of the most popular names being given to dogs.

According to the report, Kelce was the top trending dog name in the United States, with an increase of 135%.

It should probably come as no surprise to see that name trending.

After all, both players are easily recognizable and have made massive contributions to the NFL.

Some other popular pet names included the surname CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys, up by 109%, while Justin Fields’ surname has increased by 97%.

NBA stars Nikola Jozic and Trae Young were up there for popular dog names.

Trae went up by 222% and Jozic by 147%.

The name Celtic, which likely has to do with the Boston Celtics, grew by 364%.

Wemby, after the #1 overall pick at the last NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama, was also on the list.

Kelce brother’s popularity through the roof

Many adore Travis and Jason for their work on the football field, but both are arguably more popular this year for what they’ve done off the field.

Obviously, when you win a Super Bowl, there are financial perks and plenty of endorsement deals that come with it.

Jason and Travis have both prospered in that area, as whenever one shows up in a TV commercial, the other one seems to pop up right after.

It would be fair to say that Travis’ popularity is increasing since his rumoured relationship with Taylor Swift.

The Kelce brothers have a podcast with over 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube and recently released a Christmas single together.

Jason was a finalist for People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” list, and he and Travis are on the list for “Sexiest Men in Sports”.

It’s not just the two football stars, though, who’ve become household names in North America since joining the NFL.

Their mother, Donna has been a guest on some well-known talk shows, while the shot of Taylor Swift’s father, Scott with a Chiefs lanyard in Argentina is trending.

In 2023, the Kelce brothers have gone from NFL superstars to pop-culture icons known worldwide.

If you are tired of all the attention the Kelces are getting, you will probably have to suffer through that at least a little longer.

Monday Night Football is the prime-time spot where NFL teams square off before an audience of millions.

Next Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead in a Super Bowl rematch.

Some good news though if you don’t want to see more shots of Swift, she is away in Brazil on tour.
