The Kansas City Chiefs are approaching their final offseason milestone before the summer break but that has not stopped one player from taking a dig at his teammates.

After their Super Bowl victory in Las Vegas, the players took part in their traditional team report cards where they graded the owner on the investment in their team facilities.

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt ranked bottom with an F grade and the franchise’s report card in general ranked second-last.

The Chiefs were only saved the embarrassment of finishing last by the NFC’s Washington Commanders.

Despite Clark Hunt being a key decision-maker in the team’s recent success, the players were not afraid to voice their opinions.

One of the upgrades the players have requested is the refurbishment of the players’ changing rooms with new chairs etc.

Hunt may feel hard done by in the grades but he has received the support of the Chiefs superstar defensive lineman Chris Jones.

The 29-year-old took to the podium and addressed the media after the second day of mandatory minicamp had finished.

Moreover, Jones spoke about the culture and motivation the potential three-peat is having on the team in training.

In addition, the seven-time All-Pro addresses the questions about Travis Kelce, who had approached the media before, and potential retirement.

Jones brushed the idea of that aside and said he and Kelce would be retiring together, with six more years in mind.

In the offseason, the Chiefs front office has penned defensive linemen Mike Danna, Tershawn Wharton, and Mike Pennel to new deals.

Jones is thankful that Hunt resigned several defensive players heading for free agency

All three were heading to free agency and now Jones will be lining up alongside familiar faces.

He was ecstatic about their returns: “They graded my owner an F, I got two middle fingers for them. He’s an A+ in my book. Brought back Mike Danna, Tershawn Wharton, Mike Pennel. . . we were able to bring a lot of guys back that helped us get there last year.”

Jones vocalized his praise for owner Clark Hunt because he resigned key defensive pieces of Steve Spagnuolo’s defense.

Furthermore, he had a jokey dig at the teammates who had dropped their owner an underwhelming grade in the NFL Players Association votes.

Jones was made the highest-paid defensive tackle in the league on a six-year deal by Clark Hunt, where he also demonstrated his gratitude for the ownership.

Ultimately, the five-time Pro Bowler is excited about his new paycheque, his defensive teammates returning, and the opportunity of the three-peat.
