The Chiefs have knuckled down to their offseason training already and one player has been spotted participating.

At the moment, franchises are operating their non-mandatory offseason workouts.

Patrick Mahomes and new free agent signing Marquise Brown have already been pictured working out together.

Travis Kelce has already been hard at work uploading videos of him training on social media.

Hollywood Brown uploaded a story to his Instagram that captured him working out in training with fellow teammates.

Moreover, Kansas City Chiefs players are currently working out in Texas.

On Brown’s Instagram story, fellow wide receiver Kadarius Toney was spotted participating in drills.

Toney has a calamitous season and is said to have ‘no future’

Toney endured a terrible 2023 season dropping multiple crucial passes.

Additionally, in week 14 against the Buffalo Bills, the 25-year-old lined up offside and chalked off a last-second touchdown by the Chiefs.

He sparked outrage due to his sloppiness and Travis Kelce, the scorer, defended his teammate.

In week 16, the Chiefs declared the receiver injured and he missed the remainder of the season.

However, Toney caused controversy by claiming he was not injured.

Mike Florio stated the controversial character has ‘no future’ in Missouri after their Super Bowl win.

Yet, the wideout man has been spotted training with his fellow teammates.

Toney is contracted to play one more season with the Chiefs but many speculated his career there was done.

Fans have taken to social media to react to the player participating in training on Hollywood’s Instagram.

@BradHensonPro stated: “I think it is a good thing that Kadarius Toney is in Texas working out with Patrick Mahomes.”

@DarthKansasCity posted: “If he can keep his body and head straight and make it through training camp, he’s as much an athletic freak as it gets. I think missing all of camp last year really set him back.”

@ALTtheChef was very optimistic about Toney’s appearance: “Comeback player of the year, 2x Super Bowl Champion Kadarius Toney!”

One fan did not want to see him near the team, @GandalfStaff said: “Get him away from Mahomes.”

Toney’s appearance causes controversy but could be an asset

Toney’s return will cause a divide in opinions among Chiefs Kingdom.

His poor season last year does set him up for a comeback story, but he needs to be switched on.

Rashee Rice’s situation looks like he could be suspended for some time, so Toney will have to step into the mix once more.

Nonetheless, the receiver needs s strong start to the season, this could be his last chance.
