The Kansas City Chiefs front office has confirmed one of their three-time Super Bowl champions has resigned to another deal.
Despite being the reigning world champions, Kansas City is sanctioning all the appropriate moves which give the best chance of the glorified ‘three-peat’.
Yesterday the Super Bowl LVIII champions confirmed that their defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi has resigned.
Nnadi signs another extension
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a third consecutive one-year deal to keep him at Arrowhead.
Moreover, he signed one-year deals in the 2022 and 2023 offseasons.
As the old saying goes ‘Don’t fix what ain’t broke’, and that has been the Chiefs mentality thus far.

They are keeping the defensive line together which dominated the playoffs.
Steve Spagnuolo’s defense was the youngest defense to reach and win the Super Bowl.
Superstar Chris Jones, as we know, has signed a lucrative contract to see his career out as a Chief.
A five-year deal making him the highest-paid tackle in NFL history.
Additionally, the Chiefs have already resigned fellow defensive tackle Tershawn ‘Turk’ Wharton.
The D-Line man signed a one-year deal valued up to $2.75 million.
The Chiefs keeping the D-Line intact
Furthermore, Mike Pennel confirmed he would be returning for the 2024 season who dominated at stopping the run.
Neil Farrell and Matt Dickerson are already contracted to return for the ‘three-peat season.
So, the latest Super Bowl-winning defensive line will be reuniting for another shot at glory.
Mike Danna remains a free agent in the open market but the Chiefs could be inclined to resign the defensive end.
Nnadi is returning for his seventh season with the Chiefs so is an established element of the operation.
Chiefs traded up for Nnadi
Brett Veach traded away their third and fourth-round picks in the NFL draft to the Baltimore Ravens, in exchange for their third in 2018.
With the Ravens’ pick, they selected Nnadi.
They got their man and have not looked back since.
Nnadi signed a four-year rookie deal worth $3.74 million and has signed single-year extensions ever since.
The band is back together on the D-Line and they hope to ‘run it back’ in a similar fashion.
