Kadarius Toney will not be cut by the Kansas City Chiefs, argues NFL expert Rich Eisen.
There has been heightened speculation over the future of Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney, after his latest dropped catch against the Patriots.
It led to Patrick Mahomes being intercepted and the star quarterback looking visibly annoyed on the sidelines.
Head coach Andy Reid gave tentative backing to Toney after the game, refusing to criticise the young receiver publicly.

‘Kadarius Toney will get more opportunities’
Many Chiefs fans have had enough of Kadarius Toney’s inefficiency and fear him costing the team in a decisive play-off game.
But there are no signs he will be booted off the team, and NFL broadcaster Rich Eisen believes Andy Reid will actually do the opposite, and give him more chances.
He told the Rich Eisen Show: “It’s not going to lead to anything but more Toney opportunities, because it’s the only way he is going to turn it around, and get some sort of momentum going, because they need him. Who’s the next man up?”
He admitted that Toney is in a tough position with the fanbase, but does not see this changing Andy Reid’s decision.
“Even if he catches every pass between now and whichever do-or-die game the Chiefs play – he does it once in that game, ‘told you so’, but the Chiefs are not going to sit him because of it.”
Asked if Andy Reid was too stubborn with his support of his players, he responded: “Stubborn has put a couple of cases in the trophy cabinet since he came to Kansas City.
“I’m telling you, it’s the way it’s going to go.”
This might be right, but Toney is surely testing Reid’s patience. He caught only two passes against the Patriots for a total of five yards.
