Is it inevitable that the Dallas Cowboys will now shake things up?

A staggeringly inept loss to Green Bay saw the Dallas Cowboys eliminated from the NFL play-offs.

The defense gave up 48 points to Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who has playing in his first ever play-off game.

And this has prompted lots of speculation on what lies ahead for the Cowboys, with owner Jerry Jones saying he was left shellshocked by the loss.

Stephen A Smith verdict

The Cowboys being eliminated from the play-offs is celebrated by Stephen A Smith every year, with the talk show hosts’ reactions always going viral.

This year he admitted he was taken aback. He told First Take: “I saw panic, I saw dudes who was shook. I was surprised at the lop-sided affair that we witnessed, but I am not surprised by the loss.”

He also called on Jerry Jones to make changes, which involve getting rid of head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

Smith said: “He [McCarthy] has to go. It’s about the fact Jerry Jones is 81 years of age. It’s about the personnel on the Dallas Cowboys. We expect better come post-season time. Its about the mandate you took the job, knowing the mandate existed and you failed to live up to it for four years.

“Dan Quinn also has to go by the way. We saw more hits of Dan Quinn on the big screen than Cowboys defenders on wide receivers. They got to go.”

While co-host Dan Orlovsky said he would tear it down and get rid of quarterback Dak Prescott too, despite his 12 regular season wins, Smith did not agree.

He summed up: “I’m not getting rid of Dak Prescott. He was an MVP candidate before this game.”

Prescott threw for 400 yards in the game, with much of the yardage coming after the Packers had taken a heavy lead and he had thrown a pick six.
